Having started coal production and marketing in Istanbul in the 1980s, SAFİ KÖMÜR established its first factory in Kocaeli Gebze in 1995 to operate in the imported coal sector, leveraging the experience and knowledge gained in the industry.

AS KATI YAKIT SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. continues its activities in the sector under the brand SAFİ KÖMÜR, adding value to coal.

SAFİ KÖMÜR is one of the leading brands in the coal industry with its quality, continuity, team experience, and dynamism.

In 1999, cooperation was initiated with coal producers located in the Siberian Kuzbass region of the Russian Federation, which holds the world's largest lignite reserves. Our company is today one of the largest distributors in Turkey.

Our company continues its operations through a dealership network established across Turkey at its facilities in Dilovası, Samsun, Trabzon, Ceyhan (Adana), and Borçka (Artvin), importing 2,200,000 MT of coal annually.

Our company demonstrates its environmental sensitivity through the arrangements made at its factories and continues its operations in Kocaeli, Samsun, Trabzon, Adana, and Artvin.

SAMSUN

Established in 2005 on a 24,000 m² paved area, with an annual screening and packaging capacity of 400,000 tons, it is one of the most modern facilities in the coal sector in recent years.

TRABZON

Established in 2007 on a 30,000 m² paved area, with an annual screening and packaging capacity of 350,000 tons, it is the region's most modern coal factory awarded for environmental respect.

ADANA

Established in 2009 on a 140,000 m² paved area, with an annual screening capacity of 700,000 tons, it is one of the most modern operations in the sector.

ARTVİN TERMINAL

Established in 2012 on a 20,000 m² paved area, it has an annual screening and packaging capacity of 300,000 tons.
